CAHMS – CAMHS stands for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. They provide mental health assessment and treatment for children, young people (aged 0-18) and their families. As CAMHS is a specialist service, children and young people need to be referred by another professional, for example, a Doctor, Health Visitor, School Nurse, Teacher or Social Worker. They’re not a hospital and they don’t have beds, but they do have many different specialists who are experts in children’s and young people’s emotional and mental health. The Childrens Centre operates The Community Farm provides a nurturing and educational environment, helping people grow whilst reconnecting with the countryside. The Farm is open to the Islands community and offers an increasing range of services to meet the communities need.
